Indonesian Rumah Betawi in Athens

The ASEAN Plus Bazaar, organized collaboratively by the Embassy of Indonesia in Athens along with the Embassies of the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Friends of the Child Association, and the Honorary Consul of Malaysia, was held on April 20-21, 2024, at the Hellenic Foundation for Culture.

This event aimed to promote ASEANโ€™s culture and economic potential to the people of Greece, while also strengthening the friendly ties and cooperation between ASEAN and Greece.

Visitors had the opportunity to indulge in a vast array of Indonesian culinary treats, as well as to grab some Indonesian crafts and various accessories as souvenirs.

Also, the awesome performances of Tari Batik (Batik Dance), Tari Gandrung (Gandrung Dance), plus Poco-Poco and a Cooking Demo, really got everyone hyped up, encouraging visitors to engage in the lively celebrations, making the Bazaar super festive!

In this event, we decorated our booth replicated Betawi traditional house (check what it looks like here). And we made these design, starting from the official announcement/invitation, backdrop and fence design printed on outdoor material and pop up photo booth!

It was a really fun activity filled with participants. The food that we sell were sold out as well (we had Sate Padang, Rujak Serut, Mie Ayam Bakso, and Siomay) and people love our snacks! Check out some of the fun on location!
